Grammy Award winning band Ozomatli will be the featured headlining talent at A New Normal .Life Launch Event’s Free Community Concert on August 17th at Northern New Mexico College.

A New Normal .Life Campaign unites government agencies, non-profits and healthcare providers to support recovery and raise awareness about substance abuse as a chronic disease. The Campaign is Northern New Mexico’s first multi-media public health education campaign to support people and families dealing with opioid use disorder by connecting them with supports and resources in the region. Defined as world music, jazz, urban, hip hop, rock and Latin, Ozomatli breaks all boundaries and appeals to the widest range of music fans. The Campaign Launch Event includes an all-day free community health fair, car show, and food sales benefiting the Espanola Matanza from noon – 5pm and a free community evening concert featuring Ozomatli, with opening acts by Nosotros, Divino and Strings Attached starting at 4pm.

During the day, Ozomatli will perform a private kids show, OzoKIDZ for local Espanola Public School students grades 2-4.

The Campaign kick off presents the Campaign’s Public Service Announcements, website and promotes it’s telephonic partners, New Mexico Crisis and Access Line and Northern New Mexico 211.
